I mostly lurk and learn. And even though many arguments are above my pay grade, I nonetheless get lots of chizuk from the achdus on display – true ahavas chinam, imho, with very few hidden reproofs.

What’s new is that “Karen” has a specific (short hair businessman-esque) style associated with it as well and not just an attitude.

@CTLAWYER It’s always fascinating to get a time-traveller’s perspective. Tell me, how affordable are the flying cars?

    (Sorry… I couldn’t resist😉)

So, just wanted to clarify a point regarding the destruction of the Beis HaMikdash.

Rome was the instrument, no doubt, but one mustn’t suppose the legions involved only Italians or even only European troops. The legions’ troops included Syrians, North Africans and other non-Europeans. It is also speculated that 1/3 of the total force was composed of auxiliaries from the neighbouring nations (Nabateans, Samaritans, etc.).

So… interesting back and forth. Thanks all!

Just wanted to point out, if we’re holding Christian Europe’s ancestors responsible for the Churban, we would also need to hold Muslim’s N. African and Middle Eastern ancestors responsible.

My list would included celebrating Pesach with Yoshiyahu Hamelech… maybe stick around and find out where he hid the luchot and the keilim.

If I’m not mistaken the rounded depiction of the luchos dates back to the Renaissance and even earlier.

I had always heard the explanation that it was a metaphorical choice, the rounded tops being akin to a heart symbol (that the Torah should be in our ❤️) and to differentiate the luchos from other plaques or signs depicted in artwork.

Melaleuca (aka Tea Tree Oil) has good but limited uses topically.
It’s antibacterial, antifungal and healing properties can often be replicated with Lavender essential oil.

Beware! Especially using it internally or as a mouth wash or toothpaste. Overexposure has been known to cause gynecomastia (abnormal breast growth), especially in young boys.

    I stand corrected.

    My comment was 100% wrong.

It sounds like you may be a really likeable person.

The way some people are wired they need human connection way more frequently.

See the situation as a positive thing and go easy on them.

Don’t waste their time either and wait half a conversation for them to pick up on hints. An immediate and considerate, “Sorry really busy right now, you’re kinda interrupting my flow – please let me get back to you later,” can go a long way.

1st rule of the internet: Don’t feed the troll.

Unlike bogey monsters which perish from sunlight, trolls need to be kept in the dark under bridges – out of sight and out of mind.
