In regard to atomic clocks, would all clocks be a little off since you carried it home from the store?

“In your case the two men would still observe the events differently (i.e. different intervals of time between the two lightning strikes) due to the fact that the train is moving.”
Yes, but the man on the platform will not see the strikes at the same time. This should prove that it is not only movement which can change your perception.
Also, if the man on the train had super long hands and one was in front of the train and and the other in back, he would feel both strikes at the same time. this should show that time has not slowed. And even though he sees them at different times, that’s because of the fact that the back light hasn’t hit him, but it’s still there.

    Avram,
I was thinking more about the train mashal and i don’t get it. Suppose the man on the platform was not at the middle of the train, but closer to the front. He would also see the strikes not as simultaneous, but rather he would see the front one first because it’s a shorter distance. this should prove that the train example has nothing to do with the train moving.

    Yserbius,
Why is time for him moving faster?

    Joseph,
I’m not running to college just because you want to sound sophisticated, please explain or don’t make things sound even more complicated.

Anyone know how to explain this stuff simply?
And anyone know what a wormhole would do and how you can make one?

    Redleg,
that type of uprising wouldn’t be neccessary, or if it was, it wouldn’t work nowadays for 2 reasons.

    1) easy access to a powerful social/media, therefore the governor wouldn’t be able to ignore it the problems with the voting issues.

    2) the reason the uprising worked is because the national guard took to long to come, now days can they come much faster.

Besides, those same citizens are the ones who might believe that jews are evil and go shoot a bunch of them.

Is there anyone who here who does not believe that the US should ban all large round guns?
if we do that, then you can’t really massacre anyone and all problems solved.
someones going to ask about street gun crimes, so i’ll preempt them that most of it doesn’t involve citizens and is usually criminal on criminal. So gun crime probably helps prevent robberies from none-criminal-involved families.

Anyone who doesn’t think it could be liberal hasn’t been following the news recently, they’ll stoop to anything. At the same time however, there is an equal chance that it is some angry trump supporter.
I just don’t understand why Republicans are saying it is for sure a liberal when they have no way of knowing if it is, and have a large chance of being made to look like fools.

    646,
previously you said a two state solution would be best for Israel because it would give them the ability to destroy infrastructure. However, now you said no one will be funding this infrastructure, so Israel still won’t be able to bomb anything.
Besides what would stop the government of the new state from putting human shields near all military targets like they do now in Gaza? (by storing weapons and tunnel entrances in residential areas)

statistically, (i just googled it) 70% of lottery winners go broke.
Jewish people are normally more financially successful than average, so wouldn’t most of the people in the CR have at least a 60% chance of having a nice post lottery life?

    000646,
You seem to believe that a one arab state solution is the best, however there will be an easily understandable consequence for Israel if this happens- simply the new citizens now have access to the weapons and facilities of the country formerly known as Israel, and there will be 6.5 million Jews killed in a second holocaust.
f you want a two state solution, the population of the landmass of Israel just doubled, who’s paying the trillions of dollars for infrastructure?

the Fakestanians have gaza which was given (maybe back to them, i don’t know) to them by israel to create peace as part of a deal, look what happened- terrorist attacks every day, intense rocket fire on and off. If you give them even more land why will it be any different than what happened to gaza?
Also the Fakestanians don’t want a two state solution as proven by the fact that they chant “from the river to the sea”- that means the entire israel, not half!

If we do a one or even two state solution, the population of the land mass of Israel will double, who’s paying the trillions of dollars for brand new cities and infrastructure?

And also if you think Israel should kill all Palestinians the “goyish college liberal” is probably right that you’re evil. I don’t believe even 75% of Palestinians are all into terrorism or there would have been 4 million at the Friday protests, not just a couple thousand.

    “No one would get jobs.”
people need more than basic necessities.

“once an individual has a minimal level of income, they decide to work less.”
if they wanted a comfortable life style they would need to earn at least as much as the value of the benefits. therefore they would still try to earn more than the income limit thereby being removed from the benefits.

It would work better than universal income because there are much lower income limits.
