OOPS, I thought it was Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Or was that Wilhelm Friedemann Bach?

I asked my Rav and he said Rap is not music (Mutar during the three weeks), so it would not be included in the ban 🙂

Chachom you sound angry. Anything I can help with? 🙁

Figure the sems make more money on application fees than a fundraiser could raise so that fundraising is not required. 🙂

Thought b. suit was sufficently vague, sorry if it offended anyone’s sensibilities 🙁

Also agree with MDLevine & Blue that talking about specific people, even without knowing who they are, can lead to no good.

    Rabbi:

Permission to repost in humor section? I only considered 2 & 5….

If the others are possible, I would reconsider, as answers 1 & 4 does not apply to pointy high heels (guys can’t walk in them sober, let alone drunk!) 🙂

    Rabbi:

NOW may looking for a red herring before you may cross the bridge, but only if the red herring is a dull color! 🙂

Seriously, there is a difference between multicolored neon shoes and a multicolored neon tie. One (the latter) is generally worn by men, the other by a clown or who the Gemorah says “Oy Lo Leme Shabanav Nekayvos”.

Jews are not normal, we are excellent !

Shomrei Torah are not normal, we are superb !

People who learn Torah and follow it for the sake of Hashem are the best!

C”V we do things because they are “trendy”. We do things because Hashem told us to do them 🙂

Seriously, I hope no man would be caught wearing multi-colored neon crocs or shoes, and my point was that they were the same, not that crocs are any different (ie. we agree).

But for money… its all mutar! 🙂

I would love for the Parties in E”Y to just admit they are anti-state and stop trying to be elected, but as R’ Elyashiv has been quoted, the most important thing is for the yeshivos to get their money.

Literally, Talmud Torah K’neged Kulam, and it is worth all. That is the P’sak, we can only follow.

On a scale of one (birthday suit) to ten (burqua) I rate it a 7.3. The main judge (G-d)may have other scales and ratings may differ. 🙂

No. Which gadol’s wife went to seminary in Israel? Is there one? 🙂

It is a way to support (very generously) people living in E”Y, but you could plant trees for the difference (in Beitar, where it will also help Torah Yidden) and get the same result. Perhaps your daughter may even be realistic about marriage and life/money if she doesn’t go to Israel, and goes to a Bais Yaakov graduate program instead. ;-

Flashy Crocs are assur to men because of Beged Eisha. I don’t know about women, are they (crocs, not women) different then flashy shoes?

It may depend on the number of pairs one owns 🙂

suraschier has been declared the first female Posek! 🙂

Seriously, please state which Posek you got this list from, or mekoros in seforim. (Not to say that you are wrong, but others will say that you are without a Mekor)

I thought Chardal was mustard 🙂

I actually agree with Gavra Raba, that someone who is trying to grow is a Yarei Shomayim. The question asked about a Charaidi, which may depend on dress, occupation, lifestyle, and location insead of actual “shake(ing) in their boots from the word of

    G-D” (as per the poster).

In E”Y, I would think going to the Army/Sherut or not is a good indicator.

Girls can do what they want anyway, to a certain extent. So there is a woman (or man) not dressed before them, is it Assur? Is it Ervah?

Yeshiva Guy, are you talking about an open system where anyone can sit or stand and everyone can see everyone or where there are seats so that you can you can only see your seatmates? There is a difference in the amount of Kavana possible.

Baking is holy, especially Donuts and Bagels! 🙂

C”V Avraham Avinu would have thought to serve the Malachim Bishul Akum!

BTW Yishmael prepared the calves, so barbeque is still the sole possesion of Men. (who else would stand in smoke for an hour to eat charred meat!)

    100%!

But what if there is no money and the in-laws have kids at home or have other grandchildren due to another new baby?

Deserves – Should one give Maa’ser money so that a new mother can have a nurse? What about all those people who manage without it?

We need a story of a Gadol going to a Kollel home to babysit because the husband decided he needed to go to seder and could not help his post-partum wife! 🙂

A yes or no answer will suffice:

Are yidden better off with Eretz Yisroel under the Arabs or under the Jews?

    No draying cup please.

    (I vote Jews) :-)!!

Of course this can not be compared to Moshiach (b’mhara b’yamaynu), but for the time, it is better.

The rabbonim should set up shiurim….

At the pizza places in Lakewood….

    And people won’t hang….

The wives will feel threatened (due to the Tznius Patrol/crisis)….

They will make their husbands move…..

The husbands will not be able to support in-town living (due to the education crisis)….

They will move out of town (solving the “Brain Drain” crisis)…..

The country will be too far (solving the bungalow crisis)…..

Their children will have an high school english education (solving the education crisis)…..

The wives won’t need to show off to their friends (solving the Tznuis crisis)!!!

    And you think the Rabbonim don’t understand/care (C”V) 🙂
