Hey! Yes, missed seeing you around 😉 you’ve left me smiling! See ya tomorrow – so long till than!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167430

yitayningwut – what have you figured out these past days? How are you faring? i hope you work it out.

In case you didn’t notice this poetry thread can have another name too imho (you think it up), not everything is in poetry form and it’s not “meant” to be so either!

Blabla – hope you feeling better. That letter to your therapist must have made her glad.

Observanteen, welcome back to whenever that is!

in reply to: Att: Everybody who "knows" amyisraelchai here #829047

Kapusta – thanks! Yes, that’s what i mean, sorry for not being clearer – i edited the original post to make it clearer!

in reply to: WOW!! Is it really always so quiet here.. #819569

ZeesKite! Just adding my welcome to the rest….good to see you again!

in reply to: Diabetes Support Group #981097

Cofeefan, i’m so sorry!! Hold on a lil longer – it’s after yom tov now and we’re finally able to get back to schedule. i know how frustrating it is to see all those numbers 400 ++ and you’re still tryingg…. the food is enough to get anybody mad! Hang in a lil longer – yom tov is a crazy time. Give yourself the time. Remember that if our numbers would always be perfect we couldn’t by definition have diabetes!

A1c – you just have to do your best. Perhaps if you can push off the next one a little it may work 😉 proven, tried and tested!

    THE BEST OF LUCK!!!!!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167421

yitayningwut, i’m sorry to hear that. thank you for clarifying! I felt the pain in the words but i didn’t make it out. It’s very difficult to look back and see that… can you also look back and see other things beside for hurting void? What are your options now? i really hope it will work out well for you.

    in reply to: prediabetics #881672

ilovetheholyland, i truly send my sympathy, i KNOW its impossibly hard and i really feel for you!!! i’m also very fussy and trying to diet feels impossible!!

Can you take the veggies you do like and try using it in different ways? Would you eat veg kugel or cooked veg. with just the ones you like? Soup? You didn’t mention meat? Limited popcorn (it still has carbs, could you eat that though?) sugarfree sweets, gum?

Does it make sense to suggest a way “out” of food altogether, or is that not the issue here?

i really wish i could make it easier for you!! i’ll keep you in prayers and thought 😉

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167418

Yitayningwut – hey, that’s good! Is it a painful expression or just as a reflection or both?!

AYC, that’s something to think about… i love how you write btw!

Blabla, yes, those words you write are so true. The computer won’t be a protection at all and yet it fools us into thinking it is. … how are you doing now?

Moskidoodle, you’re right. It’s a expressive little rhyme! I hope that although it’s dark and so difficult we can STILL find reason to smile. May the rock not give to you so much trouble, so to speak.

SaysMe you are really amazing and i love your writing!! Keep doing so as much as you are comfortable, and yes, people do enjoy your posts!!

in reply to: I am very sick. Please daven for me. #920113

Thanks for the update yehuda tzvi! May you come back to tell us you’re feeling very much better very quickly.

in reply to: What should I be when I Grow up?? #821429

when i saw this thread it was obvious it was you gumball! Can’t you grow up and than decide?!! Lol to this whole thread… (amongst others, i like that brain surgeon idea health!)

    in reply to: prediabetics #881664

gr82bagrandma – hey, this all looks amazing! Ayc – good luck 😉

ilovetheholyland – i truly understand all too well!!!!!! I know how hard it is …… it is worth it though and we just HAVE to manage somehow even when got no clue how it’s poss. Keep strong, keep going!!!

in reply to: Diabetes Support Group #981095

Rebbitzen – i’m sorry you had to break it… i know that although that’s what hashem wanted it’s still difficult!!! My dad told me b4 the fast when i was worrying that there was a great rabbi who when he broke his fast on y”k said he was HAPPY because he never had such a mitzvah to do before. i don’t know if that made me feel better or worse or though..

dx3 and cofeefan, how well i know your words! i’m so frustrated!! i have to get my A1c down but now with all yom tov and being in the kitchen cooking – i LOVE the kitchen and i love making all nice goodies – but my numbers…………. ;( ;( ;( i’ve gone to the mid 400’s again. Yes, it’s so hard, help!!!!!!

Lets keep on praying for each other and thinking of each other and hope that G-d will give us the strength to do our part (sigh) and give us those good numbers!!!!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167395

observanteen, i normally aim for 11 or so.. but i’ve got to prepare for work tomorrow so i better get to do it now.

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167392

Yitayningwut – when did you write that one? And can we somehow get you back into the mood!

    in reply to: prediabetics #881653

ilovetheholyland, i’m glad that you replied! i can’t tell you how sorry i am to read that post, i know how hard it is and i’m amazed that you managed to make some of those lifestyle changes which just seem so IMPOSSIBLE!! … Just do the best that you can, that is all that G-d wants from you.

Do you care to share what your A1c is? No worries if not.

Try telling me about being a picky eater (sigh) … would a dietitian help? Perhaps we can have a competition 😉

i keep you and all those struggling with this, in mind in prayers..

Keep going!!! You can do it!!!! You can do it!!! You can do it!!!!!

    in reply to: Frustration #816269

    Observanteen! QUIT THAT!!

Seriously, Yes, IMHO! most people must have the times they are going to feel frustrated at themselves and feel like a failure. G-d made us people and therefore we are going to make mistakes and yes, sometimes fail to. But! That does not make us into failures!! We win some and we lose some, but the main thing is that we keep going FORWARD!

It’s not a prob. to rant as long as you deal with the feeling in the right way.

And btw, i don’t know if the reason is a legitimate one this time, but i do think that it is a positive thing to be frustrated and disappointed at oneself in areas that you can change. But that doesn’t sound the situation here!

i’m sorry you’re feeling like this and PLS feel better quick!!!!! Hang in there – keep going, you’re doing great!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167389

Observanteen, lol!! Get back to work fast!!!

SaysMe, you’ve said such potent words in such a beautiful and expressive way! i’m sorry you had to go through that and i’m amazed how you’ve come away from there so much better and stronger. It sends a powerful message of hope! i’m glad you decided to share this here with us.

yitayningwut – hey, that’s good. Care to share any more poems?!

Blabla, i’m sorry………… you know that!!!! But now look at SaysMe’s words again and perhaps take hope in the fact that there IS hope.

    in reply to: prediabetics #881651

gr82bagrandma and ayc – are you giving advice to ilovetheholyland? She asked this 3 months ago! i just was wondering now how she’s doing..

sounds like you’ve done an amazing job gr82bagrandma to lowering your A1c and making those changes, i know it’s not easy but you did it!

    in reply to: prediabetics #881648

ilovetheholyland, can i ask you how you’re doing…?

in reply to: Unsent Letters #824771

cinderella – that’s such a beautiful letter you wrote… i like ayc ‘s words to you!

i am here – it’d be great to see them but of course only as much as you’re willing/wanting!! Don’t do it if you may regret it.. (i’m a great one to talk about that ;0)

Miritchka – you write so nicely! You express yourself so well. Glad to hear that she has the children now, although that pain obviously will never go away.

And yes, thanks for sharing and keep ’em coming!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167371

Observanteen – i missed out the IMHO!!! Hey, that’s a shame that you aren’t working….!!!! Like, working is the best, jk

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167369

Laugh with me – i’m so sorry you’re going through this. May your little one have a REFUAH SHELAMA quick!! You write so beautifully… which makes it all the more sad! (as in, we feel with you more!)

Observanteen – WOW! That piece is really something amazing!! It’s a piece out of any of the papers!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167368

Blabla, whatever makes you think that once you die it’s easier?!!!!

Blabla, i hear in your words,

    pain,

    hurt,

    despair,

i know how you’re longing to,

    just let go,

    just be free,

    away from here.

    Together with you,

    i feel,

    i hurt,

    i cry,

How I wish i could take away your pain!

    In my heart,

    i know,

    i believe,

    i am confident,

in the confidence that G-d has for you.

    Look inside,

    Take hold of yourself,

    You have the strength,

    The ability,

    The forte,

To weather the tide of the storm.

    We believe in you,

    G-d believes in you,

Now make sure you believe in you.

in reply to: I am very sick. Please daven for me. #920107

in reply to: Diabetes Support Group #981082

i often wonder how many people just read this thread without commenting …! Well of recent there hasn’t been much to read anyway.

Thanks observanteen, and no prob at all! Keep praying for all of us 😉

in reply to: Diabetes Support Group #981080

Hey rebbitzen, glad to see you back!

i checked with rabbi meisals and my rav so the following is a combination from both… Break the fast at a 70. Check as often as needed.

Drink is just under 40cc which is as much as you can fit in one mouth full. Solids is 30cc which is 3cm to 4cm to 2.5cm. You can eat and drink together each of this amount.

Wait 10 minutes, if it’s too long, 4 and if too long 2. If can’t do it in shiurim – don’t!!!

This shiur works out to be 4 rolls of winkies.

Lots of luck to all of us!!!!

in reply to: Unsent Letters #824762

Adorable, this is such a touching letter and shows such a wonderful personality of the writer. The chizuk is also that there are people like this, who still care and pray for others, and considering it’s almost yom kippur – keep us all in mind!!

And i’m really glad that you’re part of those who ARE engaged!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167353

tutzech – yes!!!! It’s a nice little piece yours!

in reply to: Self Esteem Books #851659

“When do the good things start,” and “Waking up just in time”, both Twerski are great for this. He uses illustrations of Charlie Brown and friends to illustrate the point. Twerski believes everything is dependant on self esteem so he is def. a good author of such books, he’s said, “i wrote 1 book x many times!” He speaks of it in a very factual way and he doesn’t say to do all these exercises and workshops but rather just makes you think to do it yourself!!

“Let us make man” is great too.

And yitayningwut – hi again 😉 lots of luck!

in reply to: info on medicine use for Yom Kippur #814714

Is it only to ask your own questions or can you also hear the other questions and answers? Thanks!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167349

Blabla, i really feel for you and understand the inner war. I wish it would just be EASIER to fight those raging emotions but until than you just have to fight it anyway, you are stronger than it and have to fight it.

Perhaps the only way is to speak very firmly to yourself and instead of rationalising with the emotions or trying to fight them or feeling how difficult it really is or surrendering or saying “i just can’t help it!” – perhaps can you just speak firmly and IGNORE those voices, they aren’t allowed to speak to you, you have to “just do it” – right!!!!! It ain’t a choice!!!!! Don’t listen to those voices who are out just to hurt you. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! BELIEVE IT!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel the intensity of the struggle but you can do it. I pray to G-d to make it easier and just end the pain. Thoughts are with you!!

in reply to: I've got a twin on here… Can anyone guess who it is… #816069

Climbing mountains – That got me to lol! What is going on with all these subtitles?!

    yitayningwut, thanks for the translation!

“with a fairly outgoing personality” where do you pick that up from?!! You’d prob have been easier to pick somebody who wouldn’t have asked you so many questions about it! Don’t worry though! It’s nice to talk to you after seeing you around 😉 thanks for explaining.

in reply to: I've got a twin on here… Can anyone guess who it is… #816054

yihtieningwhat/yitayningwut – care to translate? I’m still curious as to why you put my name there out of everybody – with somebody who was blocked mind you – but that’s okay!

in reply to: I've got a twin on here… Can anyone guess who it is… #816049

I’m not that young btw! If Gumball is really the youngest one around here 😉 Well since i’ve noticed you (and wondered how you say your name!) i guess it makes sense to presume likewise…although i didn’t think i post that much!

    So… who is the twin?!

in reply to: I've got a twin on here… Can anyone guess who it is… #816047

yitayningwut, i didn’t realise i’m even noticed on here! But wait, why did you mention my name?

in reply to: Can someone Do me a Favor? #814932

Lol yummy cupcake 😉 Amein to the blessing!!!!!!

Mazel tov to those mentioned and mazel tov adorable !

in reply to: Diabetes Support Group #981077

Hey tell me well done!!!!! i’m so delighted with it although it’s still way high!!!!!

Yom kipper fasting is “time” to be nervous… other fasting you can always break it but yom kipper you just don’t want to have to.

Firstly – rem. you have to lower basal as day goes on… the body starts to keep the stores because it isn’t getting the usual food.

Testing has to be done only as much as nec.! It’s malacha…

If you have to eat – eat in shiurim, yeah, the 1 once thing every nine minutes … if need, it’s seven minutes, and if can’t wait – your health comes first!!!!!!!

Somebody review it better than this – pls do!!!!!

in reply to: Can someone Do me a Favor? #814929

Gumball – keep praying for all of us!!!! Glad we have some kallah’s in here, lets hope we have some more of us soon!!!!!!!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167343

Blabla, both observanteen and am yisrael chai put it so well: so beautiful and so sad; we care, as you can see.

You just have to keep strong and keep going, i know it’s hard but YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

in reply to: Unsent Letters #824749

observanteen – thanks for sharing! Maybe i’ll share too..

It’s such a warm letter, how is she doing now? You write so well, keep posting as much as you’re willing to share!

Miritchka, i’m sorry it has come to this. I can imagine it’s extremely difficult to be in this, to watch somebody close to you do this. Keep writing the thoughts and hurt out. May G-d send her and all the rest of klal yisroel his light and show us the purpose and truth to follow his ways.

I hope it gets easier for you too. Lets just keep praying!

in reply to: Diabetes Support Group #981075

Glad to see some life over here! Sorry about that dx3…. i broke it like less than 2 hours to the end a 68. Did you care that you had to eat?

i had an appointment today – and thank G-d my A1c went down!!!!!!! although it’s still way beyond any of yours.!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167336

Climbing mountains, i’m really glad for you that the post was deleted! i think that when you copy the link it makes it easier for a mod to delete it – i presume when they follow the link or something they can just press delete.? And i’m even gladder (if i can say that!) that some of us managed to read it first!!!!!

    Observanteen, that would be great!

Praying for anon friends is weird and the paradox of it being online friends was , well , a paradox. Yes, i did keep you in mind individually too 😉

AYC, thanks! You’re warm words are appreciated, really!!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167332

Climbing mountains – it’s a really special poem. I’m glad i saw it (if you are too) before mods could delete it! Go to the # symbol where it says “posted 53 minutes ago” to and copy the link, mods than can delete it, Mod 80 did that for me once.

in reply to: I am very sick. Please daven for me. #920067

YehudaTzvi i’ve been hoping you’re okay, rufah shelma, keep us posted how you are doing.

in reply to: Diabetes Support Group #981073

Hey, anybody Here?!!!! How was yom tov?!! How did you manage?!!! I hope you all prayed hard and kept us all in mind!!!!!!

    Anybody fasting today?!

in reply to: ATT POETRY PEOPLE #1167329

Hey, it’s amazing how much you can go on in such a short amount of time!

AYC, i’m truly sorry for your loss and the accompanying pain. You’re poem is so beautifully sad! It expresses your feelings (!) so poignantly, that the reader feels it too. How many years has it been? You express it clearly in the other thread you began too. Observanteen – the unsent letters thread was a great thread, let it come back to use! And i hope you all kept all of us in mind on rosh hashana, it felt quite weird actually praying for anonymous online friends, esp. considering it’s online…!!!

Blabla – you’re poem is really special. It hurts so much to read!!!! There’s so much pain!!!!!!!!!!!
