S2021, your sentence structure and grammar leads me to believe that the individual in question, is in fact yourself.
i once dated a guy who was such a bad driver, we got into a car accident on a date! I had to bentch gomel, I was not a happy camper… to say the least!
I am a CPA and I would never charge my friends for asking tax questions. I would never do their tax returns since my area of expertise is large corporations, not individual income tax. If you are NOT A CPA yet, I don’t know why in the world your friends would trust you with their tax returns….
it is currently a buyers market. If you can afford the mortgage payments and have money saved up for a downpayment, def. buy. When you buy a house, you have equity. Renting only throws money into a big black hole you will never see again.
yaff80, you obviously haven’t ever been in the parsha or not in it for long. A little sensitivity could take you far in life.
My suggestion would be to make really good friends (who truly care about you and) whose husbands have good friends that they can set you up with.
Confidence. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I girl needs to be attracted to the guy just like the guy needs to be attracted to the girl. Different people are attracted to different things. CONFIDENCE is definitely an attractive trait.
I agree with “ramateshkolian”. Don’t give up! I’m actually suprised to see how HARSH some of the responses are! I grew up in a really out-of-town community, where kiruv was a way of life for those who were frum. All I can say, based on some of your responses, B”H you guys live in NYC where you are surrounded by the frum and hardly ever have any interaction with the less religiously fortunate, because your responses have potential to turn into a chillul Hashem.

ummmm… from a girls perspective… frum men wearing jeans….. a real turn OFF… i’m not saying for all girls.. but many…
this is really a big issue. Just this evening, on my commute back home I saw a woman on the subway wearing a sheitel with her skirt WAY above her knees. I was disgusted. People don’t realize that dressing tznius is like wearing a badge of honor. The really sad part about it is that, I work in the city, but I see this problem mostly FLATBUSH, where the minhag hamakom is to dress tznius, and I do not see it in the city, hardly at all.
Personally, having gone out with some one who had mental imbalances (i.e depression) and someone who had a health issue (i.e. cancer, but was in remission for years), I would rather take a health issue over a mental issue ANYDAY. Both are unpredictable, but its seems like there is never an end mental illness.
