Ask the owner who let you down to tell you a few people who would have a place for you to stay! He should give you a few numbers of ppl to call!

Chocolateluver. Buy a book called ‘I can make you thin by Paul McKenna’ with the CD. It is so powerful, if you set your mind to use its technique seriously, you will loose weight effortlessly and in a healthy way that works longterm too. Let me know how you get on. GOOD LUCK 🙂

Real Brisker – sorry, are you with it??!!! We are talking about a person who has been in hospital for hours, – think for a moment what this involves? Issues of possibly life and death? Thoughts of loosing a loved one Chas ve. or seeing a loved one suffer, or suffering oneself? The unknown, the scariness, a medical language that maybe one doesnt understand and definately cant control… the list continues a lot longer. Dont you think they need some understanding when they finally leave the hospital? -theyre waiting for the care and attention that they need – after all theyre expecting a fellow Jew to collect them, so theyre hoping this will be someone understanding, possibly who they can vent a little to…

Chessed is about thinking about the other person, not thinking about yourself. When we do a Chessed we have to think how can we BEST help the person who needs us, not how can we get away with doing the least possible!

I am sorry you got caught giving a lift to someone and it took much longer than you thought it would. But think about it- maybe the guy you gave a lift to was so demanding becuase he is completley neglected? Maybe noone spoke to him all day and him asking you for music and heating on/off was just a way for him to communicate with someone. Maybe he needed someones attention and care and this was his way of asking for it. Maybe he took you all around town because he felt he needed to be with someone – maybe you were his only company all day! Who knows!

Chessed means thinking about the OTHER PERSON and their needs, feelings and their world.

May you be zoche to only ever be on the giving side

First of all Im so sorry that you are pain, missing someone & just not feeling the happiest, I really feel with you & hope Hashem sends you comfort soon.

I think there are different types of joy,- some which may be still possible for you to feel – the feeling of simcha of being Hashem’s Am Hanivchar, we have a purpose in life (look at the goyims lack of direction and purpose &how difficult their lives are), the simcha of being cleansed from YK and been given a new opportunity to serve Hashem with a clean slate, the joy of knowing that (especially when we are in the Succah) we are under Hashems protection… He has a plan for us, He knows what we are experiencing and He has a reason for it… if we really internalise these things I think it can give a person strength and hopefully some JOY 🙂

All the best to you, good luck 🙂

Thanks BaalHabooze that was really nice. And thanks Shticky guy for that explanation.

I wish I could feel more regret for the sins I have done. Part of my problem is that I just dont care enough that I do things wrong/ not as they should be done…

A person has to feel real regret over their Aveiros and the distance their sins have caused them to have from Hashem. One should specify during Viduy their sins and regret, – its like a thick rope from Hashem to us, each time we say Viduy sincerely we loosen the rope until we hope it breaks apart from all the Viduy and regret we have done.

    Any thoughts anyone?

Refuah Shleima. Every day I daven for you and check here for your posts, always hoping they will be positive and moving in direction of a complete Refuah. Just a thought, accepting things the way they are saves a person alot of energy…energy that can be rather used for healing. Ive been in that place. Thinking of you and wishing you a Gmar Chasima Tova, a year of refuos and yeshuos.

Im part of this too, Ive been dating for 5 years.. Something that has really helped me, I know it sounds like it has nothing to do with anything but it has been a great inspiration to me and kept me in the right place. Read the Parshah inside every week and its commentaries and Divrei Torah. (The Stone Chumish is great to use). It is so inspiring, it will take some of your emptiness away. Good luck 🙂

When Rabbi G asks what your fathers job is, make sure you sound like your dad is loaded. When he asks what you want out of Seminary, say ‘I want to strengthen my relationship with Hashem, I want to change, I want to become closer to Hashem.’ I was told to say that, – it worked, Rabbi G’s eye nearly popped out his head, he LIKED it!! Am convinced I got in bc of that!! I had no clue what the Rambam was about, could hardly read it, had no idea about that. It was that comment that got me in!! I highly recommend BC & as for Shidduchim, – its all in Hashems Hands but for some reason the guys wanna go out with girls who have been to ‘Bnos Chava’ !!! good luck but remember its all bashert!
