Queens: Madman Stabs Frum Person With Machete, And Throws Fire-Bombs At NYPD

YW-Queens MC Attack-0007.jpg(Photo Link Below) A quiet Queens street looked like a war-zone this evening, when a madman stabbed a Frum person with a machete, and then proceeded to toss Molotov cocktails at the NYPD. According to a YWN reporter live on the scene, a man armed with a machete suddenly attacked a Frum, Brooklyn man as he was walking down the street at Hillside Avenue near 124th Street. The perp then fled to a nearby building, where he ascended the stairs to the rooftop.

Upon the arrival of numerous NYPD and Hatzolah units, the perpetrator suddenly began tossing firebombs down at the police. One unmarked police car burst into flames, and residents from the block were evacuated from their homes. The man continued throwing firebombs at emergency personnel, as an NYPD chopper hovered overhead. Eventually, the highly-trained NYPD Hostage Negotiation Team was successfully able to apprehend him.

Although he was stabbed by a machete, Bichasdei Hashem, the Frum, innocent man only had minor injuries to his head, and was transported by Queens Hatzolah to New York Hospital of Queens. The perp was taken to Jamaica Hospital by EMS and the NYPD.

  1. It was very scary. I live right around the corner from where it happened and my husband walks home from work on the block it happened on. Our babysitter said she was walking home from school and saw a man full of blood and with a knife in his hand. Apparently someone called Hatzola and ambulances and fire trucks to catch the guy. The guy got mad so he through firebombs at the police car. After he was caught he was asked why he did it so he said he had a bad day. We all have bad days but don’t go stabbing someone. Anyways, B”H the frum guy is ok and that the man is caught. It was scary to see police choppers. Everyone ran out of there houses to see what was going on. I actually saw the car on flames.

  2. A machate is A large heavy knife with a broad blade, used as a weapon and an implement for cutting vegetation.

PLEASE PLEASE DONT post the pictures i don’t want my son to get any ideas.

  3. From Wikipedia: The machete is a large cleaver-like cutting tool. The blade is typically 18–24 in long, usually with a thin blade under 3mm thick.

Though, B”H, he escaped without real harm, I’m sure it was not a doctor-recommended experience.

It’s interesting how the news media handled this story.

3 out of the 4 articles (all 3 in NY, I think) didn’t even mention the stabbing, and the 4th, in Florida did get the story right.

Of course the streets are all listed differently between the different reporters, and Hatzalah’s name is not to be found any

  4. Baruch Hashem, it’s mamesh a neis he’s okay!!
btw a mechete is a big knife, like a dagger. Obviously ywn big fan doesn’t watch a lot of movies, that’s a good thing 😉

  5. ”we all have bad days but dont go stabbing someone”

that is great advise. thanks so much.. by the way maybe he had a REALLY terrible day..we must be dan likaf zchus.

  6. To Hakatan: Did you pick your name because of your inferiority complex? “Hatzalah’s name is not
to be found”, Are you a H member? Because a lot of them have complexes. I saw the TV News today and they didn’t mention NYFD or EMS, just NYPD, BUT they have something against Hatzolah. This news show did mention the injured victim and they even had a shot of him in the ambulance and you could clearly see he was frum!

  7. #10- there is actually no obligation and no reason to be dan a goy likaf zchus, if anything the mishna says the opposite. Just wanted to throw that out there
