KIDDUSH HASHEM: Chareidi Optician in England Sets Up Water Station To Help Locals Beat Heatwave

The Majority of Europe is dealing with a massive heatwave this week, as temperatures in France hit above 106 Fahrenheit, but one Chareidi man made a Kiddush Hashem.

The Chareidi optician set up a water station outside his store that offered free water to passersby.

The British newspaper “The Guardian” stated that this has been the hottest heatwave, and the hottest temperatures recorded since 2003.

Even northern countries such as Germany, Belgium and Holland, have been hit by the heatwave.  In many parts of these countries, where residents are unused to such temperatures, many homes and offices do not even have air conditioning.

During the previous heatwave of this magnitude in August 2003, some  15,000 people died across Europe as a result of the extreme heat.

The current mega-heatwave is already the second this season. The previous heatwave claimed the lives of dozens of people across the continent and caused numerous brush and forest fires.
