In a dramatic late-night move, President Donald Trump granted pardons to 77 individuals connected to the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, including close allies Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and attorney Kenneth Chesebro.
The White House made the announcement late Sunday, with the full list shared just before 11 p.m. on X by Trump’s clemency advisor, attorney Ed Martin.
Those pardoned include several figures accused of involvement in efforts to submit alternate slates of electors in states won by Joe Biden — such as Georgia, Arizona, and Michigan.
Also among the recipients were former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and other aides from Trump’s 2020 campaign, who prosecutors alleged were part of a plan to send “fake elector” names to Congress in an attempt to keep Trump in office.
Other notable names include John Eastman, Christina Bobb, and Boris Epshteyn — all of whom were central players in legal and political efforts following the 2020 election.
The official statement concluded with a pointed clarification: “This pardon does not apply to the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.”

Most corrupt president in history. He is more shameful than Nixon and Benedict Arnold.
Disgusting.
Memo to File: Presidents cannot “pardon” a bunch of low-life lawyers and political hacks who were charged or convicted of crimes under STATE LAW. This is purely symbolic and messaging to his MAGA meshugaim.
Yup trump with those preemptive pardons signed with his auto pen
On the contrary, rt and Amil Zola are disgusting. There are many bad things that can be said of Trump, but the one thing he is NOT is corrupt. And these pardons are completely justified, because the people pardoned did nothing wrong, so they should not have to live in fear that the next Democrat administration will persecute them and hound them to death, as the Democrats are already saying they will do.
Stupid. Presidents normally pardon their buddies (and supporters, and friends of supporters) during the period between election day and the inauguration of the new president. That’s what more traditional presidents (e.g. Biden and Obama did). There is no need to pardon people at this point since the Justice Department is under Trump’s control, and they would prosecute Trump’s friends. It looks very bad since it suggests that those accepting the pardons are guilty of something, and has limited impact in many cases since unless the alleged crimes occurred in the District of Columbia, they are still liable for state prosecution. When Trump wants be disruptive, he should ask why the “minhag” he is disrupting was there in the first place.
