Shame Parade Given Final Approval & Route Announced

breaking news 21.jpgAs expected, the Police have approved the Shame parade, for next Thursday. The parade is set to start at Independence Park and end at Bell Park. Immediately following this announcement, signs were hung throughout Yerushalayim and cars with loudspeakers made announcements by the Eidah HaChareidis calling on everyone to come out and protest. Garbage bins were set on fire and a crowd quickly gathered at Kikar Shabbos.

The Yerushalayim Municipality has been removing dumpsters all day from the area in anticipation of the fires.

Arutz 7 reported that Baruch Marzel, the head of the Jewish Front political party, said that he would appeal to the Supreme Court and ask it to rule against the parade.

  1. Hashem Yirachem! Maybe Olmert and Peres and the Chief of the Supreme Court are members of the “creature culture.”

  2. Take away the dumpsters – fires are dangerous and useless.
Torah community, get ready to protest and line the streets, do what you can to protect the kedusha of Yerushalayim. We in the USA are your brothers in arms.

  3. Ironic, on 6-13!

They should have done this yesterday, 6-12, since they apparently have erased one “lo ta-aseh” from the list!

  5. And then you wonder why Klal Yisroel is being threatened to be wiped off the map.
How low could a nation fall ????????????????????

Logic dictates that when you do something wrong – you be ashamed of yourself YOU DON’T GO AND ANNOUNCE IT.

  6. Mench… don’t get carried away. They have held parades in many other places.

Certainly, unless the Gedolei Yisroel call for violence, the people should protest peacefully.

  7. Every war – 1967, 1973, 1991, last summer – was precedded by some sort of religious upheaval on the behalf of the Isralei government. Whether it was drafting women into the army, digging up k’vorim, treifus, giving away land to the Arabs…it was always followed by a war.

Shoimu shamyim. May Hashem have mercy on us…We must do all we can to stop this horror…

  8. I must reiterate.we must ask our posek before doing anything violent…. we hear calls for action bsheim gedolim but did anyone actually hear from them directly?it can be a tremendous chilul hasheim..make sure we have daas torah!!!

  9. Massive riot now taking place at the end of meah shearim. Riot police in full gear are at the scene. All dustbins have been taken away along the whole meah shearim.

  10. call e-mail fax the Israeli government, let them know American Jews (and our tourist $$$ will not stand for this

  11. LISTEN UP! Instead of lining the streets… Let’s do what Hashem wants us to do – at the time of the parade let every Bais Medrash be filled with the sounds of Torah learning, let other holy places be filled with the sound of tehillim recitation, let children be learning Torah in their Yeshivos, let everyone take upon themselves to refrain from lashon hara, let hospitals and other sites be filled with people being mevaker cholim, let nursing homes be filled with visitors to the lonely, let food banks, chesed organizations, etc. be filled with volunteers, let coins be dropped in every available tzedaka box!! Let us create our OWN parade of Torah, tefilla, tzedaka and chesed. These actions will make a louder impact in Shamayim than the loudest screams on the street – these actions will light up Shamayim brighter than the biggest fire in a dumpster. THIS WILL CREATE A GIGANTIC KIDDUSH HASHEM!!! THIS WILL SHOW THE WORLD WHAT OUR TORAH IS REALLY ABOUT!!!

  12. Gold and Yatzmich,

What a gevaldikeh machshava! Kol HaKavod!
However, there is also a time when K’vod Shomayim mandates going out, to milchemes Hashem or milchemes HaTorah u’Kedushasa! Perhaps this is a time and place where Alu v’Alu divrei elokim chaim and both fronts need to be met. Think of when Klal Yisroel went out to milchama and there was a kevutza of Lomdei Torah umispalelim el Hashem, off to the side of the battle field in equal amount to the soldiers on the front lines.

May He have rachmanus on His land and its people!

  13. To “A Jew” [comment #12], Just about everybody on your list could care less, or is IN FAVOR of this Impurade. Even, unfortunately, Lopianski, who should resign rather than allow this to take place in our Holy City!!! Where is the YIra? Where is the Shalom? Yeru-Shalem!!!! Gevald!!!

  14. Re: No violence
If someone was beating up your kid and no matter how many times or how nicely you asked them to stop they didn’t would it be a chilul hashem if you, yarmulka and all, grabbed the person by the shirt and sent him crashing into the nearest wall? And if he came back to continue beating up your child would you be considered a violent angry person if you smashed him in the face? Me thinks it would be a chillul hashem for you to stand there wringing your hands and letting your kid be a victim.
If violence is the only thing that will stop this parade – and the track record “on the ground” (or in the knesset/high court) here does seem to indicate that- it just might be a chillul hashem not to go violent.
What “purpose” does being violent defeat? Certainly not the purpose of stopping the parade – THAT is the purpose.(not approval/brownie points from the outside towards chareidim). And it can’t be a chilul hashem for the world to know that we take G-d’s desires VERY PERSONALLY and emotionally.
A while ago I saw a letter to the editor someplace comparing the chareidi anti-parade violence(BAD) with the dati leumi anti-disengagement peaceful (usually) protest (GOOD).
Kinda ironic, isn’t it? Disengagement happened, the parade didn’t.
Isn’t peaceful protest just a beautiful kiddush Hashem.

  15. THis moderator does not tolerate crtiticism of Orthodox Organizations. I can only assume that the moderator feels that each and every Ortho organization is perfect in everything they try to accomplish.

YW Moderation Panel: The moderators on this website do not tolerate Lashon Hara against Jewish organizations run by Gedoley Yisroel. THAT’S why your comments are not approved.

    Hope we made that clear.

  16. to post #22 – if you don’t like it, leave.c something that the former soviet union and china didn’t allow

  17. Beiter,
If you believe that all Jews are brothers, and that Hashem is our Father, then you will understand that Hashem does not want one brother to beat up another brother. It is like a parent with a wayward son. Does this parent want to see one of his son’s beat up his brother, even if he is not following in the Torah path? I do not think so. I would think the father would rather see his good son try to be mekarev his wayward brother with love, not punches in the face, etc.
