Hate Crime Being Investigated In Williamsburg


The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Unit has been sent to investigate a bias crime in the heart of Williamsburg’s Chasidic community, YWN has learned.

Two swastikas were found by a residents late Sunday afternoon, at 111 Clymer Street. The swastikas were written on the walls of the building near the elevators.

Williamsburg Shomrim (WSPU) had received a call to their hotline reporting the swastikas and dispatched their members to investigate. Upon their arrival, they contacted the NYPD’s 90th Precinct, and Hate Crimes Unit.

According to police, no arrests have been made so far.

Shomrim are reaching out the community, and asking if anyone saw anything suspicious, they should please call the 24hr Williamsburg Shomrim Hotline at 718-237-0202.

  1. the NYPD will do nothing, they did nothing about the graves that were toppled in Washington cemetary a Yiddish cemetary, they will say its just hooliganism. If this was against Muslims then Abe Foxman would be on top of it himself.
