Flatbush: Two People Assaulted & Robbed – 1 Victim Hospitalized With Facial Trauma


Two violent robberies which occurred in under 24 hours in the Flatbush / Bensonhurst area, have residents on edge.

The first incident happened on Sunday night, when an individual – who is a highly respected member of Yeshiva Bais Hatalmud – was exiting his car in his driveway, when he was assaulted and robbed by two thugs.

It happened around 10 :00pm on 77 Street and Bay Parkway, in the Orthodox community of Bensonhurst.

The group beat him repeatedly, and robbed him of his wallet and cell phone. The victim was beaten so bad that he spent 24 hours in a local hospital.

The NYPD’s 62 Precinct was investigating.

Shortly after, an individual was assaulted and robbed on Avenue J and East 3rd Street – which is in the confines of the NYPD’s 66th Precinct.

The victim had his wallet, cell phone, and money taken.

  1. as a former talmid of bais hatalmud I can appreciate the sensitivity and the need for privacy (even in such matters). Kudos (or cudos) to YWN for not publicizing the name!
