B’chasdei Hashem: Planned Attacks Against Chareidim Foiled

Three teenagers apprehended in Rosh Ha’ayin are in police custody, thereby preventing planed attacks against chareidim.

According to police, preliminary information in the case indicates the three planned stabbing attacks against chareidim. Two of the suspects live in Elad.

They were apprehended in Rosh Ha’ayin carrying a number of different types of knives while asking passersby “do you know where there are chareidim in the area”. One of the persons stopped by the youths decided to summon police, and two were taken into custody. The third fled the scene.

The suspects admitted during questioning they came to the city to stab chareidim but police admit they are having a hard time understanding the motive, which the youths did not state clearly. Police add that fortunately the youths were apprehended before the fact and therefore, the criminal indictment against them will be less severe as a result. The youths also told police of other crimes they perpetrated, including the theft of tools from 14 construction sites in Elad.

A juvenile court remanded them for three days and then to house arrest with restrictions as the case against them proceeds.

  1. Sounds suspicious. Terrorists are rarely so obvious. If they are from Elad, it is unlikely they were Palestians, as suggested by YWN’s picture.
