After the barrage of rockets fired into southern Israel on Wednesday morning, Alon Shuster, who heads the Shar HaNegev Regional Council announced there are over 1,500 homes in his jurisdiction that still do not have a safe room for residents, who are in the 40km range of rocket attacks.

Shuster accuses the national government of “abandoning the safety and security of southern residents”.
