NYC ‘Snow Alert’ Starts At 6:00AM Tuesday


nycsnNew York City’s sanitation department has issued a “snow alert” starting at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Personnel are getting equipment and supplies ready.

Sanitation is coordinating snow clearing protocol with the Office of Emergency Management and the transportation department.

It’s continuing to monitor the forecast.

Information about storm responses can be obtained on the city’s website or by calling 311.

New Yorkers are also encouraged to sign up for the Notify NYC system. It sends information through phone calls, text messages and email alerts.
