Ben-Gurion Airport Luggage Handlers Taken to ER for Check


mdanA sharp foul odor emanating from a luggage bin on board a Sabena Airlines flight that landed in Tel Aviv during the night on motzei Shabbos sent six baggage handlers to Assaf HaRofeh Hospital.

The fire department was called and the bin in question was removed and inspected. It appears the cause of the smell was not a dangerous substance as all six were released from the hospital and the plane was put back in service.

Airline officials’ stress there was no threat to the 167 passengers on board the flight at any time.
