shtWith the ending of the atzeres, as Ani Maamin is being sung, the mainstream media is abuzz with the announcement from the Gedolei Hador Shlita, the rabbonim of the Moetzos Gedolei Yisrael, not to serve in the IDF.

Channel 2 News is concluding its live coverage of the Million Man Atzeres reporting “without a doubt the main outcome of the event is the call by the rabbonim not to serve in the IDF”. News commentators explain that while a short time ago “only a small number of hard core chareidim officially issued such a proclamation, this is now the ruling for the entire chareidi tzibur and this is most serious”.

The rabbonim shlita have instructed participants not to serve in the IDF under any condition and not to cooperate with induction centers around the country.

Participants are dancing and singing Ana Avda Kidshu Berichu!”

  1. The Satmarer (R. Yoel, the original, author of “Vyoel Moshel) and Jacob Israel De Haan are looking down from shamayim and saying “I told you so.”

  2. #1 They are looking down from shamayim and kvelling at the miracle of “Shvu banim l’gvolam”.

How beautiful to see the fulfillment of the prophesy that the hills of Judah will be inhabited and filled with returning Jews.

  3. This is not a cause for celebration. While a red line had to be drawn by our Rabbanim Shlita, we should be crying that it was necessary. Achdus amongst ourselves and all of Klall Yisrael should be our desire in word and deed. Anything that is not Achdus should pain and trouble us even as we carry out what must be done.

  4. As we all are well aware. There is nothing new under the sun. We have seen it all before. All through history there has been an element both within klal Yisroel and from without that has tried to destroy the Torah way of life.
And as with all previous attempts to destroy the jewish people wether physically or as in this case spiritually there can only ever be one result.
    ה״ הוא האלוקים
Torah will live one Yiddishkait will live on Yidden will live on and the rest will fall by the way side forgotten by history.
May we be zocher to see the coming of moshiach in our time.

zionflag : Yes, there are many hareidim in Eretz Yisrael. But the democratic government is run by goyim or Jews who think they are goyim, and who are constantly engaging in unJewish behavior of the types that the Navi said will result in them be vomitted out of the land. Baruch ha-Shem the hareidim are finally rising up creating a chance that Eretz Yisrael can be saved from the zionists, so the real Jews can live in peace (even if the result is that the Prime Minister may be someone names Ahmed, and we won’t be sending anyone to the Miss World contest since that’s NOT something respectable daughters do be they Jew or Arab). Your friends said Eretz Yisrael isn’t big eough for both zionists and hareidim, and we trust that Ha-Shem will protect His people, and put yours in line.

  6. May Achmed live long and well with his 14 wives, some stolen from Jewish neighborhoods while he expels all infidels from the land dead or alive.

  7. I don’t get it. Everyone agrees that Israel needs an army to defend its citizens from the Arabs. So who should serve in it? Only other people?

  8. You wanted fun. You ignited a fire.
Everyone agrees we now need people to extinguish it.
So who should extinguish it? Only other people?
You wanted a medina. You dreamt it’s gonna solve the ‘Jewish Problem’. Along with you dreaming, were the Assimilated Herzl and his friends.
Gedolei Yisroel unaminomusly (Yes! once upon a time, before 1948, the opinion of our Gedolim on this matter was very clear to all)opposed any attempt to free ourselves from Golus.
So, you dreamt and you ignited. Now, who is to serve???? Only those ‘other people’!!
