Israel Air Force fighter planes were scrambled to the Golan Heights border after a Syrian aircraft was approaching the border area. It appears the Syrian planes were only a few hundred meters from the border.

Channel 2 News reported that the Syrian planes attacked rebel targets but the IAF decided to play it safe and aircraft were ordered to the area.
