With several proposals for casinos in Orange County, the county’s chamber of commerce is backing anyone of those first.
Chamber President John DAmbrosio said that a casino in any part of the Hudson Valley/Catskill region that is selected by the state would be a boon to the regional economy.
A casino in Orange County would give our county an incredible , but lets remember that should a casino go to Sullivan or Ulster County, we all stand to gain in the long run, DAmbrosio said.
Some one-dozen groups have proposed constructing casino resorts in the region and the state will select four sites in total two in one region and one each in the other two regions of the state selected for legalized gaming.
