According to a Panels Politics poll, if Yachad party leader Eli Yishai teams with Otzma Yisrael (Dr. Michael Ben-Ari), it will gain additional seats at the expense of Bayit Yehudi and Shas.
This special poll was conducted on Thursday, 2 Shevat shows that if Yishai and Ben-Ari unite, they will earn at least seven seats. The poll also shows that Likud would drop to 22 seats, the same as Labor/The Movement.
Bayit Yehudi would earn 13 seats, Yesh Atid 11, Kulanu 8, Yahadut Hatorah, Yisrael Beitenu 7, Shas 6, Meretz 6, and the combined Arab parties 11.

Which means if they don’t pass the threshold, the anti-religious parties will gain those seats. Parties that can’t pass the threshold help their worst enemies. Based on (the admitedly unreliable) polls, Labor and Likud will get two of those seats, and one each will go to Bayit Yehudi, Yesh Atid and the combined Arab (Islamics/Communists/Arab nationalists) list.
True true
Also will prevent UTJ from getting seat #8
zionflag: actually it increases the chance of Yahadut haTorah getting an 8th seat. By increasing the pool of available seats by seven (if neither passes the threshold), there is a better chance of Yahduat HaTorah (UTJ) picking up a seat, along with many others whom we all can’t stand.
