Two people were injured lightly by smoke inhalation in a blaze in Kiryat Gat in a shul on Margalit Street. Baruch Hashem firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control.

Ichud Hatzalah area commander Yisrael Eichenthal reports “When I arrived on the scene together with other responders we saw the shul in flames. Miraculously, there were no mispallalim inside. The firefighters managed to save eight Sifrei Torah, which were damaged to some extent. We treated two people for smoke inhalation. Miraculously the damage to Sifrei Torah was superficial”. The fire in under investigation.
