Two Israel Prison Authority officers report they were assaulted by MK Dr. Ahmed Tibi when the latter was visiting a striking hunger-striking terrorist hospitalized in Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon. Tibi was visiting Muhmad Alaan when prison guards reported Tibi shoved them and called them “fascists”.

Police on Tuesday, 3 Elul, turned to Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein, calling on him to open an investigation following the statements from prison authority personnel. They added he cursed them as well when he entered to visit Alaan. The two are assigned to stay with the security prisoner.

The two report they explained to Tibi he is not permitted to visit the prisoner with his cellphone, asking him to leave it outside in compliance with regulations. They explain it was then that he assaulted them verbally and physically, adding it is most unacceptable behavior for an elected lawmaker. The two guards filed an official complaint.
