The Yerushalmi Faction Speaks Out Against Amended IDF Draft Law

aueA kinos was held in Jerusalem’s Tamir Hall on motzei Shabbos parshas Vayigash, sponsored by the Yerushalmi faction of the chareidi litvish community, the split off from Degel Hatorah headed by HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Auerbach Shlita. The kenos was called to publically express opposition to the amended draft law which was recently passed into law.

Many roshei yeshivos and prominent rabbonim shlita aligned with Rav Auerbach were present. Rav Auerbach explained this is “a battle for our neshomos, the Torah HaKadosha, as we recite daily ‘כי הם חיינו ואורך ימינו’ and our entire way of life”.

Rav Auerbach reiterated his position, prohibiting talmidim from reporting to and cooperating with IDF induction centers in any way. He lamented on the fact that each day he hears about bnei torah responding to induction centers ‘l’chatchila’, warning of the ramification of cooperating with military authorities and ongoing government efforts to compel a compromise in the chareidi way of life.

  1. They are like a person just dying the trying their last bit they open their party, movement officially because of the army (that what they say the real reason why they opened their movement is because the people where thrown out of rav shteinman and the newspaper yatad because they are horrible people rav eliushav never really know what was going on like rav orbach now but when rav shteinman toke over he threw them out so the opened their movement and their own newspaper) but now the chardim are in government they changed it about the army and if they the rav orbach movement (not that it’s rav orbach it’s the people around him like we saw when they ran a own party rav orbach never spoke about it just letters on his name) so they need to oppose it even with out a real reason ask them they have no real reason if they don’t they are nothing different so they won’t have on what to run their own party very sad that these people put it on das torah or on gedolim.
