Among those rabbonim who last week received certification as ‘dayanim’ and rav of a city’ by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel were three rabbonim serving in the IDF.

The three are career members of the IDF Rabbinate; Rabbi Aviad Gadot, Rabbi Avishai Peretz and Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Arad.

They have completed advanced studies in Shulchan Aruch to become eligible to become a rav of a city.
