In light of new events in the battle to save Amona, and what appears to be the imminent expulsion of residents from the community, the heads of major councils throughout Yehuda and Shomron are calling on the tzibur to participate in a march set for Jerusalem on Monday, 3 Shevat from the Israel Museum to the Knesset Rose Garden where they will gather and demand the government declare Israeli sovereignty over Yehuda and Shomron. “We are no longer willing to continue as second class citizens” the adverts for the event explain.
Over 1,000 youths and families arrived in Yishuv Ofra for Shabbos despite difficult cold rainy weather, lending support for the battle to save Amona and nine homes in Yishuv Ofra declared “illegal” by the High Court of Justice.
Organizers explain they are shutting down Yehuda and Shomron on Monday and bringing all the residents to the capital to participate in the event.
