VIDEO: PM Netanyahu Supports Appointing an Israeli to Senior UN Post

bi[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu explained to cabinet members that he has spoken out about how Israel is treated unfairly and how the time has come to show some evenhandedness. Mr. Netanyahu was speaking out in favor of the likely appointment of MK Tzipi Livni as a UN under secretary-general.

It has been reported that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has spoken with Livni to accept the senior post.

Minister Miri Regev adds “I am not sure she is the right person for we want someone who will represent Israel’s interests”, hinting at her left-wing leanings, after which PM Netanyahu is clearly seen smiling – but he remains silent.

Livni was a long-time senior Likud member and slowly shifted more and more to the left, now a member of the Machane Tzioni opposition party.

  1. I dont think this is good for Israel. I’m convinced the
actuel general secretary together with some other people from PA and the Left have rigged this trap to get an Israeli on board to impose the two state solution. It’s certainly not to honor Israel. The big problem is that Livni knows all the people in the Knesset and have had access to important information which can play against Israel. She hates actual government and is going to create problems to Israel.
A kind of black mailing to open the possibility of opening the door for a shift of PM and to help the Left
take over again. How can she resist such a proposal. It’s finally easy to convince a women like Livni to accept this position. She will just be used as a tool against Israel. Doesn’t Messr Rivlin and BiBi see the
    danger. It’s amazing!
