Serious MVA / Pedestrian Struck Leaves Mother In Critical Condition


A 4 car MVA involving a mother and her child struck by one of the vehicles, has left the mother in critical condition.

Flatbush Hatzolah responded to numerous calls for the accident which occurred on Ocean Parkway at the corner of 18th Avenue just before 3:00PM on Tuesday afternoon.

Eli Beer, the coordinator of United Hatzolah (in Israel) witnessed the accident happen, and tells YWN that a vehicle lost control, and struck a mother, 2 children, and hit 3 vehicles. He ran over, and pulled 2 children out from underneath the vehicle. Miraculously, they were both in stable condition. Unfortunately, the 32-year-old mother was unconscious, and in serious condition.

Numerous Hatzolah members arrived on the scene, and transported the mother, and 2 children to the Trauma Center at Lutheran Hospital.

The NYPD’s Highway Division is on the scene, and an investigation in underway.

  1. I’m not positive, but I have a feeling they’re not yidden. Corner of 18 Avenue and Ocean Parkway is right near the public school; 3:00 is dismissal. I live right there, and the word on the street at the time was that it’s not heimish.
