New York Airports Among Nation’s Worst, Travelers Say

A new survey finds that travelers rank New York’s airports among the worst in the country.

The Zagat survey shows travelers rate LaGuardia Airport as the worst in overall quality for the fourth-consecutive year.

John F. Kennedy was rated as the fifth-worst airport, with Miami International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport also in the bottom five.

Portland International in Oregon was rated tops in overall quality.

The study showed travelers are looking for value over luxury.

JetBlue, Southwest and Continental scored best for economy class domestic travelers.

Ratings were based on factors including comfort, service, food and in-flight entertainment.

  1. I understand LAX. But, why JFK it’s much better. Philly is not terrible either. But then, I don’t factor in food in my personal assessments, so maybe that explains it.

Also Virgin America is better than all those airlines.
