In anticipation of increased traffic over the Easter weekend, the New Jersey Department of Transportation announced it will be suspending all construction that affects travel on state highways.
The halt in construction will begin at 6:00 a.m. today and last through noon on Monday, according to NJDOT. Closed lanes will only occur in emergency situations, the department said.
