Rav Eitan Eisman Instructs Sheirut Leumi Volunteers to Distance from Arabs

HaRav Eitan Eisman, who stands at the helm of the Noam and Tzviya educational network has instructed his students to refuse to enter into a Sheirut Leumi program that compels them to mingle and work alongside Israeli Arabs, Kol HaYehudi reports.

“This does exist and it is most worrisome. There is no doubt that when we prep the young ladies for the year of national service we also address the assimilation concerns”. He adds that the directors of programs have been briefed and are well aware they must keep the young women away from Arabs.

“The women are forbidden to serve in any situation in which they may befriend Arabs. We do not have to panic from every place in which Arabs are present since they are part of day-to-day life, but if the women befriend them and develop a relationship which is beyond the workplace, then there is no place for them in such an environment”.
