Fire Caused In Rimonim Prison Leaves 4 Inmates Hospitalized

It has been determined that a prisoner setting his mattress on fire was the cause of the blaze in Rimonim Prison in Israel, located near Route 4 close to Tel Monde, on Wednesday, 6 Adar.

According to a spokesperson in Meir Hospital in Kfar Sava, four prisoners are in critical condition, sedated and connected to mechanical respirators. Another badly injured prisoner was taken to Beilinson Hospital, and he too is on a respirator.

Police report the injured prisoners are serving sentences for their crimes and not terrorists.
