Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef Shlita has issued a proclamation on Wednesday following the warnings for harsh winds on Lag B’Omer: “We must obey the safety instructions of the professional bodies”

Rav Yosef urges the tzibur to exercise caution and care careful and to guard against bonfires getting out of control on Lag B’Omer, following the weather conditions warning that fires could get out of control.

In his letter, the rav explains there are serious weather warnings and people must heed them, not ignore them.
