Baruch Dayan Emmes: The tragic news of the sudden petira of 52-year-old Moshe Yaakov Reiss z”l spread on motzei Shabbos, as the avreich, a member of the Breslov community, was well known.

Hatzalah was summoned on erev Shabbos to Reiss’ Tel Tzion home, after they received calls for a heart attack. They began CPR and advanced life support measures, but it was not meant to be, and Rav Moshe Yaakov was Niftar on erev Shabbos.

Reiss was born in the United States, to Rav Binyamin Shmuel Reiss, a Breslov Chossid now in Yerushalayim, a resident of the Ezras Torah community.

He is survived by a wife and children. The levaya was held on motzei Shabbos and kvura was in Har HaZeisim.
