Deputy Health Minister Litzman Visits Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital


Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman on Monday visited Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem accompanied by the head of the of the Medical Division of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Vered Ezra, and the Head of the General Medicine Department, Dr. Sigal Livrant Taub, in order to get a closer look at the dedicated activity of the hospital staff in these busy days.

“On days when the emergency and internal emergency rooms are overloaded, it is important for us to strengthen the medical and nursing staff who are doing their utmost and strive to provide optimal service under difficult conditions.

“I must note that the Ministry of Health conducts regular daily monitoring in order to properly regulate the deployment of patients in order to cope with the difficult workloads, in parallel with the addition of manpower and the reinforcement of service as much as possible.”

There is growing anger at Litzman, who most blame for the untenable situation that exists in the nation’s hospitals, including severe overcrowding and lack of staff. There are growing calls for a full-time health minister, with many blaming PM Netanyahu for appointing a chareidi individual who is more concerned with a chareidi agenda than the nation’s healthcare system.
