Charedi Family Rescued By Police While Hiking

Border Police officers rescued a Charedi family of five, who got stuck while hiking near Nachal Sorek. The police received an emergency call for help from the family who was stuck on the hike. One of the five family members was a four-month-old infant.

The family who was using the day off due to elections to take in a nature hike, were stuck near the trail, and for an unexplained reason, they were unable to return to the trail or to their vehicle.

Border police officers began searching after the missing family. They eventually located them and then performed difficult rescue maneuvers in order to extricate them from the valley and bring them back home safely.

Police reminded hikers to “plan their routes ahead of time and bring the appropriate attire and gear for any given hike.”
