The phenomenon of illegal Palestinian construction in Yehuda and Shomron continues to gain momentum, including cutting roads, construction of agricultural roads, and the construction of new structures. Recently, as part of the struggle for Area C and the attempts to determine the reality on the ground by pro-Palestinian organizations, there has been a significant increase in the confiscation of illegal operating tools in the Etzion area.

In the past two weeks, authorities have confiscated from over 10 heavy pieces of equipment operated by the Palestinians working the areas illegally, including large trucks and construction vehicles.

Areas ‘C’ as per the Oslo Agreements are under exclusive Israeli control, yet Palestinians continue to brazenly work to create facts on the ground, deliberately seeking to build structures on Israelis areas to establish a presence. Often these illegal projects are financed by international community donor funds, particularly from the EU.
