While Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies were taking place in Sderot on Wednesday night, rockets were fired into the area, reminding residents of the harsh realities that have become their daily lives.

While IDF officials have permitted gatherings for Holocaust Day ceremonies in Sderot, warnings were issued, requesting that residents remain vigilant and that they remember the lurking danger.

One survivor quoted by the media stated that today, 63 years after he lived the horrors of Nazi Germany, he never would have dreamt that he would be hearing the Color Red warning system and be living through rocket attacks, especially in the Jewish state.
