In a bold move, Libya’s ambassador to the United Nations demanded an explanation from the United States, Britain, France and other western nations whose representatives walked out of a UN session in protest when the Libyan ambassador compared events in Hamas-controlled Gaza to the atrocities of the Holocaust.

Libya is standing firmly behind its ambassador and his comparison of Gaza to the Nazi Holocaust, rejecting the western description of Libya’s position as being “immoral”.
