Shin Bet Arrest Bedouin Man For Trying To Join ISIS

ISA (Israel Security Agency/Shin Bet) agents arrested a 20-year-old man, a resident of the Bedouin community of Tel Sheva in southern Israel after learning of his affiliation with ISIS. Agents found military uniforms, pistols, kneepads, binoculars and a flak jacket in his home. They also found a drone, which he allegedly used to practice loading with explosives.

The SHin Bet says Bilal Abu Rakaik had planned on travelling to Syria to join ISIS.

The suspect’s detention was extended a number of times, and a criminal indictment was filed against him in the Southern District on Sunday, October 6, 2019.
