Two members of Rabbi Eliezer Berland’s group of followers were shot in the early hours of Monday morning as they were returning home from visiting Kever Yosef HaTzadik in Shechem, which was vandalized and set on fire by Palestinians on Motzei Shabbos.
The two went to see the damage at the kever without coordinating with the IDF, breaking through an unmanned checkpoint. On their way home to Jerusalem, they made a wrong turn into an Arab village. They quickly made a U-turn but not before an Arab opened fire on their car. The driver was shot three times but managed to escape the village and drive to a manned checkpoint, where IDF soldiers administered emergency medical aid and evacuated them to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah.
The driver is in moderate condition and the passenger is in light condition.
The IDF stated: “The two arrived at an unmanned checkpoint at one of the entrances to Shechem, broke through it and entered the city. After a short time, they arrived at another checkpoint with gunshot wounds. The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.”
Following the shooting incident, Palestinians vandalized the kever for the second night in a row, as can be seen in the video below:

The title might lead some to believe as if Arabs know the differences among Jews .
Someone’s tragedy is no time for insults, but it is still assur to call the Berland cockroach a rabbi. I’m sorry, but that needs to be corrected. I hope they have a refuah sheleima. May all the Arabs rot.

not at all clear anything about R Berland. while allegations should be taken seriously they are not necessary fact and he should therefore not be belittled on the public air by a frum publication.

With this secular assimilated lefty government what can you expect. They will protect gay parades to the tune of overtime for the police to three million dollars on one parade.
Berland’s name should not have appeared in this article, it’s irrelevant unless the purpose is to try minimize the horribleness of this attack. It sounds like these people were attacked only because they were Jews, not because of what sect they belong to. This would never happen to an unarmed Arab who took a wrong turn into a Jewish town.
It makes me wonder who is in charge of proofreading these articles.
I am really wondering if these 2 boys asked their Rav beforehand if it is okay to travel to Shechem without coordination with the army.
Before you plan to enter a dangerous place, please ask your Rav if it is a good idea.
I personally can’t imagine any Rav in his right mind to give someone the green light to enter a danger zone.
If a Rav says to you that it is okay to go 100 miles deep into arab territory, are you going to take a chance?
