1st Time Since Bar Mitzvah: Twin Freed Hostages Don Tefillin

Freed twin hostages Gali and Ziv Berman put on tefillin on Wednesday during a visit by Ba’al Chessed Shai Graucher and U.S. donors, including Rabbi Moshe Scheiner of the Palm Beach Synagogue.

It was the first time that Ziv had put on tefillin since his bar mitzvah. Gali said that he had put on tefillin at Chabad houses while traveling abroad.

Those present at the meeting joyfully danced together to the tune of Am Yisrael Chai.

  1. Doom777, give yourself and every Yid credit for each mitzvah you and they do.
Of course, we want all Jews to keep all מצוות דאורייתא ודרבנן, but it is wrong to mock Jews who are doing a mitzvah, isolated or otherwise. Each and every time a Jew does a mitzvah, he is connecting to Hashem and to eternity.
I hope that you never speak a word of lashon hara or say Hashem’s name without proper intent, but if you do lapse on occasion, don’t discount all of your mitzvos. Don’t ever belittle a mitzvah any Jew does, whether or not he keeps all תרי”ג. Be proud of these תינוקות שנשבו that they found Hashem ממעמקים and are connecting with Him in some way. Daven for they that the inspiration should bring them to keeping all מצוות דאורייתא ודרבנן:
    גלי בן תמר טליה
    זיו בן תמר טליה
