President Shimon Peres on Wednesday travels to Switzerland where he will attend the Davos Economic Conference. While there, the president will hold a number of high-level meetings, including European Union Foreign Minister Javier Solana. The two are expected to discuss Operation Cast Lead.

Peres is expected to meet with other senior leaders attending the conference, seeking to enlist the support of the international community towards ensuring Hamas� weapons smuggling operations do not resume.
