The shul targeted in the Monday morning Haifa arson attack was N�vei Tzion, located on Tichon Street in the N�vei Sha�anan neighborhood.

Mispalalim arrived at about 6:00am for davening and noticed the blaze, acting expeditiously and succeeding in extinguishing the blaze before it spread too far. Baruch Hashem they put out the fire before there was a need for the fire department although there was significant damage to furniture as was reported earlier.

Haifa chareidi City Councilman Rabbi Aryeh Blitental called on the city�s mayor and police to take a more aggressive approach to the arson attacks against shuls, stating the current situation is intolerable and those responsible must be apprehended.
