Chomesh residents, the determined youths maintaining a presence in the northern Shomron community since its destruction in the 2005 expulsion, report that last shabbos they left the community for a number of hours and upon their return they were horrified to see that Arabs entered the beis medresh and vandalized the holy site, destroying sifrei torah and seforim. They were set ablaze and damage is significant.

Minister of Information & Diaspora Affairs Yuli Edelstein told the media “this is classic anti-Semitism. They did not target people or other property, just the holy items. This cannot be tolerated.”
