Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, the rosh yeshiva of the Har Bracha hesder yeshiva has been invited to a private hearing by Defense Minister Ehud Barak, to take place on Sunday evening.

Last week, Rabbi Melamed met with Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai, given an ultimatum, to publicly pledge his allegiance to the military and its commanders and commit to passing this message along to his talmidim and other hesder talmidim. The deadline for making this declaration of loyalty is today, Sunday.

Vilnai indicated that the rabbi�s failure to meet the ministry�s demands will result in the ousting of his yeshiva from the hesder framework and a cessation of Defense Ministry funding.
