According to a Channel 1 TV News report on Thursday night, authorities are making progress in the ongoing investigation into the arson attack against a mosque in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Yusuf, in the Shechem district, which occurred last erev shabbos.

The report indicates that the suspicion that “settlers” are responsible appears to be the correct assumption as the details in the case continue to unfold. The information is based primarily on intelligence information obtained by the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) and Israel Police, the report added.

The head of the IDF Civil Administration Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai spoke with PA security forces after the arson attack, stressing Israeli officials view the attack as a most serious incident and remain determined to apprehend those responsible.
