Three Arrested On Suspicion Of Beating Arab Men In Jerusalem


arrestnJerusalem police have arrested three men who were arraigned on Thursday 27 Shevat on suspicion of attacking two Arab males as they walked in the parking lot of the Malcha Mall shopping center. Police requested extending their remand.

Police report that on 27 Teves at the end of a soccer match in nearby Teddy Stadium between Betar Jerusalem and Sakhnin, a number of youths came out of the parking lot in their vehicle. As they waited at the gate to pay for the parking, they saw two Arab males walking, employees of the mall, and a verbal confrontation followed which led to physical violence. The Arab men required medical care as a result of the confrontation.

One of the suspects was arrested during a soccer match that took place this week in Petach Tikvah for disturbing the peace. The two others were arrested on Wednesday. The suspects are northern residents in their twenties.
