Missing Bnei Brak Child Was Located On A Bus Heading South

A 2.5-year-old Bnei Brak toddler left his home and was found hours later in the southern city of Netivot. Police are involved, investigation how the child left his home, boarded a bus, and traveled south while unaccompanied by an adult.

The story takes place on Sunday 7 Adar, beginning with a panicked call to Zaka for assistance in finding a missing toddler from Kiryat Vishnitz. It was there that Zaka volunteers began the search but they came up empty-handed. They then decided to begin driving around with vehicles and loudspeakers, hoping someone would step forward with information.

When the child’s photo was disseminated via WhatsApp, the first break came in the search. A passenger on a bus to Tifrach reported seeing the child on the same bus, alone.

She took the child off the bus at Netivot while Zaka was making the contact with the parents. The parents explain the moment they realized the child was missing, they notified Zaka.

Police confirmed a two-year-old child was taken off in Netivot from a bus heading south. They waited with him for two hours for another bus to take him from Netivot to Bnei Brak. His parents and other family members were on hand to meet the bus.
