[ev type=”youtube” data=”f031s79COpw”][/ev]

The above 2 minute video is just an example of how the Yad Hashem is witnessed on a daily basis in Sderot. A rocket lands in a gas station just seconds after vehicles pass.

This thread will be updated as news breaks for the continuing crisis for Sunday 5/20/07

8:30AM EST: More than 40 Kassam rockets have rained down on Israel over the weekend. As of this time on Sunday, eight have hit Sderot on Sunday causing major damage to a home after a direct hit. Quite a few people have been transported to area hospitals. Thousands of resident have already fled Sderot and hundreds more are packing their bags. Schools have been canceled. This afternoon, Defense Minister Peretz declared a State of emergency for the area. Residents are fuming at him – claiming he is too late. Meanwhile, the AIF stepped up its pinpointed missile strikes over the weekend killing many terrorists – who are supposedly part of Kassam launching cells.

12:43PM EST: Three Kassams slam into Sderot. One hits restaurant and huge fire erupts – destroying restaurant.

2:17PM EST: The army reports that more than 130 rockets have hit Israel since Tuesday.

2:35PM EST: The IAF has just launched an air-strike against a Hamas commander’s house in Gaza – killing eight and wounding 13 people. The house belongs to Khalil al-Haya, former chair of Hamas in the Palestinian parliament; he was not home at the time of the strike. The people killed were his family members.

4:01PM EST: Two Kassam rockets landed in Sderot just minutes ago. No injuries are reported.

  1. “This afternoon, Defense Minister Peretz declared a State of emergency for the area.”

LOL. Here, if there is even a decent flood, a state of emergency is declared – in Israel, it takes the population actually fleeing the Arab murder rockets before the Zionists take notice.

  2. I am curious…in the rest of the world l’havdil, would any country take 130 rocket attacks and NOT declare war and wipe out their enemy ? I don’t believe in Zionism. That said I don’t understand how a government of the people can watch it’s citizens be attacked and not do anything but surgical strikes? Before Hamas builds a stronger army I really believe they should make the entire Gaza Strip into a ghost town. There will be an uproar but in truth the Arabs will respect that. It will be forgotten about in the next news cycle anyway. I hate the loss of innocent lives but not at the expense of our people. It seems nobody has learned the lesson of Vietnam. You will only win if your aim is to destroy your enemy not just temporarily hurt them.

  3. No civilized nation would accept this intolerance. Once again Olmert is hiding, while the rest either wait in buses for evacuation, or crouch in a make-shift shelter whilst the radio informs them nothing is being done for them. The US gives praise to Israel for restraint. Is the US a barometer for what is Just? New Orleans, Kansas, Iraq, Iran, Obama/Clinton, et al. The point is thus: What in h*ll is it going to take to wake up this defunkt govourment, and realize history is repeating itself. Not from centuries ago, or even 10 years ago. History is being repeated from what we just saw in Lebanon last year. Shma Yisrael…..

  4. RAbosai 130 missiles without any body getting killed r”l is an open neis. yet this video has been edited. watch it over. you will see that the gas truck was not there’seconds’ before the attack. you will see when the car behind the gas truck is going close to outside the cameras veiw the screen flashes and then the kassam comes it could be hours later.
