Hamas condemned the killing by U.S. forces of Osama bin Laden and mourned him as an “Arab holy warrior.”
“We regard this as a continuation of the American policy based on oppression and the shedding of Muslim and Arab blood,” Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, told reporters.
Though he noted doctrinal differences between bin Laden’s al Qaeda and Hamas, Haniyeh said: “We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior. We ask God to offer him mercy with the true believers and the martyrs.”

This is a war crime under international law carried out by the Amerikankis. If the UN condemns Israel’s targeted killings and use of disproportionate force, the UN should also condemn the Amerikankis because they just committed the same outrage, using the same methods and weapons, thereby spilling innocent Arab blood.
I can’t wait to hear what the leftists say about a picture of Abbas and Haniyeh signing a peace agreement in Egypt,now.
Remember, the only difference between Arafat and Abbas is one wore a Kafiyeh, the other wears a necktie.
This is the Hamas the U.S. wants Israel to negotiate with???
We should welcome such statements from Hamas…they make it more likely that the U.S. will terminate aid to the Palestinian authority, after their rapproachment with Hamas.
This is the same Hamas who danced in the streets on 9-11
